I just listened to 10-20-78. The second set is very strange/unique. Especially Phil. Does anybody know if the band was on LSD that day?

Don't know about them, but I was. Last time I gratefully accepted something to drink from a stranger at a show when I was thirsty. :)

It was the From Egypt With Love run. Went to the whole thing. They had a huge screen above the stage with a rotating slide show from Egypt and Hamza-el-Din opened. It was an awesome trip - LSD or not.

Not sure about that, but check out the "mescaline show." Dancin in the Streets is the one to hear.

Thanks for the advise. I never heard of this show. I'll give it a try.

I should have mentioned before: have you heard the 10-27-79 Dancing?

Was there, and can't say I recall anything unusual...this was the disappointing time for me in that though still Winterland, the band didn't seem to interact much at all. I won't say Jerry was anything like what you all have described for the "bad times" (83-84), but based on physical activities on stage, they could have been on something, but I'd have guessed something more sedative in nature...however, my memories are vague, and run together with my general impression of "why don't they move just a tad more?" or "act a little more excited about being here?" and so on and so forth...would say that the GGPk show in 75 was one in which you at least saw lots of smiles and such; perhaps because it was outside, cool, and somewhat "historic"?

I will say for Bobby lovers that he at least had his head snap going regularly during these yrs, and he and Donna often exchanged smiles, interacted a bit, etc. As I mentioned to BD a time or two, it was during Oct run that they did INAMir with some animation, but believe it was a day or two before...as an encore?

Ah--took me a minute: I Need A Miracle? INAMir? Maybe I abbrev'd it wrong above; it wouldn't be the first time!
